Hope Force Art Show

Space Gallery on Polk Street was filled to capacity for over three hours on Thursday, May 6 with art enthusiasts and friends of H.E.ART Alliance. DJ Danny White plated track after track to keep the energy high as guests tasted goodies from HeartBaker and enjoyed artwork from over 35 artists.

The art benefit and silent auction raised over $3000 for Hope Force International, which mobilizes volunteers into areas of crisis around the world. From the profits, Hope Force International will be able to purchase six tents to give shelter to over 45 Haitians who are still living in a disaster-torn country.

Guests spent the evening bidding on artwork from local artists who donated their work to the cause. Nearly all of the artwork (over 95%) sold, ranging from photographs to oil paintings to letterpress prints.

H.E.ART Alliance wishes to thank all of the artists who donated their work, volunteers who donated their time, and guests who generously donated their money to help those in need. Thank you all, and we look forward to many successful benefits in the future!
